After Jeremy Maclin finally signed a five-year contract with the Eagles, he ended holdout and hit Eagles training campTuesday, one day after the deal was done. He told reporters that he will prove himseld to the Eagles.
“I’m a competitive guy, so I wanted to be out here competing and be out here with my teammates,” Maclin said. “I was anxious from day one. I was anxious ever since I got drafted. But I’m happy I’m here now and that’s the big part.”
Maclin also said that he was not seen practising in eagles jersey at the start of camp because he felt it important to negotiate contract. Since the contract has already been signed, he will show the Eagles that trading up two spots to draft him was a smart move.
