Buccaneers veteran punter Bidwell will miss preseason opener with hip injury

One day after Matt Bryant left practice with a sore hamstring and was expected to miss Saturday’s game, Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran punter Josh Bidwell sustained a hip injury and will miss the preseason opener.

As the 10th-year pro, Bidwell was the only punter in Tampa Bay's training camp. He was fine during Buccaneers' Tuesday practice, but on Monday, when he arrived for workout, he felt the pain in hip and went to have an MRI. At the moment the results were still under evaluation. We will not like to see him in adrian peterson jersey.

The players who will miss Saturday's game include wide receivers Antonio Bryant, Michael Clayton, center Jeff Faine and linebacker Angelo Crowell along with Bidwell and Bryant. The Bucs are planning to work out two potential replacements before signing one of them to punt Saturday night against the Tennessee Titans.
