Lawyer of Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf, Jeffrey Lustick, said Thursday that a fugitive action filed against Leaf has been dismissed.
Leaf was prosecuted after he was arrested by federal Customs agents as he crossed the border from Canada in mid-June on his way to face drug and burglary charges in Texas. He posted bond both in Bellingham, Wash. and Texas. He also pleaded not guilty to chages in Texas and got permission to return to his home in Vancouver, British Columbia.
There was supposed to be a hearing at Bellingham on July 16, but Lustick said that the hearing has been canceled already.
